Within jet-black armor it carries the cold will of a specter, commanding undead hosts with masterful swordsmanship plus black and necromantic magic. A once-noble but fallen tragic knight, it battles between the curse that binds it and the remnants of its honor.

Origin

Established from the tragic lore of fallen knights and oath-breaking heroes fused with the black-knight undead of Dungeons & Dragons and Warcraft. If the lich is the apex of mage undead, the death knight is the apex of warrior undead.

Stories

Collapses when the curse that raised it or the chain of the oath binding it is broken. Its living honor and attachment are its greatest weakness and the thread of its redemption.
